I purchased this product for my son, but I just got the same one in December. And I love this machine, just did the grapfruit sorbet also. If you are old enough to remember licorce ice cream, I found you can melt soft black licorce in half n half and use the vanilla recipe omitting the vanilla. It is wonderful. I was wondering where I can buy just the extra bowl, so that I always have a cold one in the freezer. Thanks.
Since we have bought one of the ICE-20 Automatic 1 1/2 Quart Ice-Cream Maker for our daughter some years ago and she was more than happy with it we decided to buy another one as a Christmas present for our friends. They are very happy with it, too. The icecream turns out perfect,is easy to make and it is fast. We highly recommend this ice cream maker.
Right out of the box we enjoyed delicious,creamy ice cream. Just put the bowl in the freezer till cold, then add the ingredients. The ice cream stayed creamy all week long after being transferred to another container.
We have used it a couple of times and really like it. The trick is to keep the bowl in the freezer so it is ready to use when you want to use it. Otherwise, you have to wait for the bowl to get very cold for the mix to freeze quickly.
Very simple, much better than the older models of ice cream makers. no salt, no ice, etc. was contemplating buying the larger size, but the 1-1/2 quarts is definitely sufficient for a few people. if looking to make large large batches of ice cream at once, consider the 2 quart size.
